''I'd say no, but then again I said no to Dawson and Lingard, so what do I know?''

Tbf, that is a point worth remembering, the same applies to Barkley. And no, I'm not saying I want either of them but maybe Moyes has enough credit in the bank for us to trust him on these types of players?

I'd say no, but then again I said no to Dawson and Lingard, so what do I know? I think I'd trust Moyes' judgment over mine!

Was good, now isn't. So no.

Also, if we are just going to buy a back up CB I would prefer to see us develop Alves. Jones coming in will just push him further down.

20k a week + 20k per appearance, yeah. Anything more, nah.

I was reading that everyones favourite postman Fabio Capello, when in charge of England compared Jones to former A.C. Milan and Italy captain Franco Baresi........

LOL.

Not against this though deal if it happens though.

No Dawson is also shit for Premier League level. He looks decent alongside Ogbonna but is prone to mistakes. His attitude is spot on but he is really a squad player.

"Hasn't played for 18 months apparently and on 100k a week"

Ideal alibi - "Us, stingy owners. We're paying Phil Jones £100k a week, and he (now) hasn't played for three years...."

Did you know that Phil Jones is the identical twin of famous “comedian” Rosie Jones?

A yes from me, still only 29 and defenders of his ilk seem to come into their best at this age, can also cover a number of positions, as well as CB, has fiiled in as a RB and DM.
